En 2008, Tina Turner “la Reina del Rock ‘N’ Roll” volvió a los escenarios y anunció su gira 50 Aniversario para alegría de sus innumerables fans en todo el mundo. La gira comenzó en Kansas (Estados Unidos) en octubre de 2008 y continuó durante seis meses por más de diez países en Europa y América. Para celebrar este medio siglo de Tina Turner en el escenario, se publica el DVD+CD Tina Live, que fue grabado y filmado en el GelreDome de Arnhem (Holanda) en marzo de 2009 ante un auditorio de 70.000 personas. Dirigido por David Mallet para Serpent Productions (“Tina es modesta. Los créditos deberían decir: inspirado por Tina Turner. Ha sido para mí un placer poder reflejar sus intenciones en el DVD”, afirma Mallet), rodado en HD (Alta Definición) y mezclado en 5.1 surround, el DVD es el reflejo de un concierto de más de dos horas con las canciones favoritas del público y de la artista, como The Best, Private Dancer y la poderosa We Don’t Need Another Hero.
